 NEW-cell phone policy:

Students must check their phones in upon arrival to class. The Texas State Legislature has enacted HB 1481. This law, effective September 1, 2025,  prohibits "the use of personal, wireless communication devices ( like cellphones, tabets, smart watches, etc.) " in Texas public schools. The addictive nature of these devices has become a significant obstacle to student learning and participation. This law will help our students develop the self discipline needed to set the phone aside, and focus on learning and the task at hand.  If there is an emergency, you can call the high school office at 903-822-3721 or send me a text message via the Parent Square app.  We thank you in advance for helping the students practice this important adult life skill before they enter the workplace.
