Meet the Fellows

Rebecca serves as the College and Career Guide at Mount Edgecumbe. She works to guide students through the application process, and planning for post-high school success in whatever endeavors students aim for, whether it be college, trade or technical school or joining the workforce.

Tate is the 2023/24 Alaska Fellow for Internships and Work Experience at Mt. Edgecumbe High School. He helps students connect with local, statewide, and national organizations for experiences and opportunities to explore what life could look like after graduating from MEHS. Tate also is planning the third annual MEHS Tribal Career and Resource Fair, taking place April 3-4, where tribal and tribal-serving organizations can help provide additional resources to students.

Tate spent the first 17 years of his life in Port Townsend, Washington, then moved to Minnesota to attend Macalester College in Saint Paul. He studied math and computer science, and applied some of the skills he learned at college working at a technology consulting firm for two years.
