SS Grade 6B emerges as the winner of the UN Best Door Competition

Secondary school students celebrated UN Week by decorating their homeroom doors to portray a specific right of each child . The competition winners of a pizza party were 6B students who decorated room 208.

Grade 5 Assembly

Our Grade 5 students presented their skits about different types of governments to the school last Friday. They were demonstrating their learning from their UOI- How we organise ourselves, and made us all laugh with their clever acting.

Istanbul Aquarium

Grade 5 had a busy week with an exciting field trip to the Istanbul Aquarium to study Sharing the Planet and learn more about marine ecosystems and how humankind interferes with these.

LEGO WEDO ROBOTICS

Grade 3 students built transportation vehicles with LEGO WeDo robotics parts and tested the them. And then they tried to improve the design to make it go faster.

SS "Fine Arts Night"

This year’s Winter Concert, titled "Fine Arts Night", will take place on Thursday, December 13, from 6:00-8:30 p.m. The Art Exhibition will feature the multidimensional artwork of Grade 6-12 students, and songs related to 'persistence' will be featured at the Music Concert. We hope to see you!

SS Future Teachers from MEF University visit MEF International

Students studying at the Faculty of Education at MEF University observed classes, met with the Math Department, and learned about MEF International School at a workshop this week.

SS MEF IS College Counseling Department

We work with students to assist them at each stage of the process - from determining interest and career paths to preparing college applications.

Software Company Field Trip

Grade 7 and the Coding Club recently visited IYZICO E-Commerce Software Company to learn about artificial intelligence in financial technologies; protection from financial fraud with artificial intelligence; and the design of a fraud detection application using coding.

SS ELL English & ELL Support Working Collaboratively

ELL English and ELL Support have been working collaboratively to have students create visual displays on bulletin boards to help consolidate learning and support practical revision of other subjects with hands on exercises which promote movement that students enjoy.

Grade One Celebrations End of Unit Share

Our Grade 1 classes have been learning all about celebrations around the world and organised a huge party to celebrate their learning, inviting their families and the school community to share with them. Students made games, activities, ran events, danced and shared a delicious morning tea together.

Grade Four End of Unit Share

Grade 4 students presented their 3-D models of the human body systems they had been inquiring about. Students shared their learning with their parents and visitors from other classes.
