Our MEF IS Learning Support team hosted the first Learning Support Symposium of the school year. We were joined by teams from British International School, Istanbul International Community School and specialists working in a variety of offices in Istanbul. The symposiums help us to network and share ideas. There was deep discussion about strategies for planning, assessment and creative ways to provide support in the homeroom classroom to make learning accessible to all.
This past Saturday, our parents participated in the MEF IS Parent Talk Series where Jason De Roma, Pelin Uster and Evelyn Galan presented the elements of the PYP and reviewed the Learner Profile. Wednesday morning, we enjoyed the presentation by Elif Cesar and Simon Johnson as they helped parents understand the truths about home and school language. Come join us to develop strong understandings about the learning and teaching at MEF IS.

A huge thanks to Mr. Simon, Mr. Hamid, Ms. Muce for coaching.
MEF IS Secondary students are keen to learn more about what is required to attend a range of fine universities around the world. The MEF IS College Counseling Department helps them with their university-bound journey by guiding them through supportive research and giving them the tools to strategically make their way through the arduous application process. It is a great advantage for students to have university representatives and admissions officers come to our campus!
Each year students have the opportunity to participate in unique extended field trips to promote and cultivate global mindedness to help develop an appreciation for individuals, groups, cultures and societies. These learning experiences help our students make connections and extend their understanding, which results in action and change.
