The primary school students, their parents and teachers met on Saturday for conferences together to discuss the progress and achievement of the children, and to talk together about the goals that they had set for the rest of the year. It was a very positive time, and we want to thank all those families who met with us to partner together for their children's benefit.
There was a real marketplace atmosphere in the school foyer on Saturday, at the parent teacher conferences, thanks to the PTA bake sale and book stall. The table full of give-away old PE uniforms also helped with the pazar feel. We loved the healthy options available and how beautiful the tables looked. Many thanks to everyone for their donations for the Blind School's musical instruments.
As part of the MEF Exchange Project, this past Wednesday, we had the participating national school students do class visits and get a sense of how things are in the International school. During 3rd period, they met and had team-building activities. They also did a mini school tour during the long break. They observed the classes during 4th period and joined the secondary assembly during the 5th period. Finally, they had lunch in the cafeteria together.
STUDCO members were pre-selling Valentine's Day cookies this week. We look forward to the tasty deliveries that will be made on Monday.

Each of our homerooms have been working on a Service Learning Project throughout the school year. Students form each homeroom shared an update of what they have been doing and what they will be doing. We also had one of our talented pianists, Brianna Boyle, play a wonderful rendition of Evgeny Grinko's "Valse."
The majority of IB2 students unveiled their TOK Presentations, 1 of only 2 assessments for the course, this week. Students related a real-life situation to a question about knowledge; thereafter, students displayed how different subject areas might analyze the question.
