We're excited to offer grade 9 students an opportunity to visit UMass-Amherst on October 12th. This is a unique opportunity for our youngest students to begin thinking about the possibilities for college, career, and beyond. Students will take a tour of the campus and have lunch at one of the dining halls. We will also be meeting up with some of the 50+ MHS alums currently attending UMass-Amherst. Students will learn a little bit about what life is like after MHS. Our 9th grade teachers and counselors will be leading the trip along with Assistant Principal Mr. Passeggio.
This field trip is a new event that is one component of our overall program to expose students to a variety of post-secondary options. We hope that this trip will begin to plant seeds for students about what they like and don't like about a campus or expose them to some of the fields of study that are available beyond high school.
The cost of the trip is $10 which covers the bus and lunch. Please see below for permission slips.
