Dear Parents,

             As September greets us, we find ourselves reuniting with families and students. It is wonderful to see all the smiling faces returning to Memorial School.  

           In reading, the children are working hard in class.   We are working towards good reading habits.  The children are trying to build their reading stamina through reading in class and at home. 

              In Writing, the children are working on writing complete sentences. As well as generating ideas for personal narratives. The children take a small moment to tell a story and expand it to 'paint a picture in the reader's mind through good word choice.

I hope to meet and reunite with you on Curriculum Night on Tuesday, September 16.  Grade 2 will meet with teachers, while Grades 3 & 4 will proceed directly to the cafeteria. Classroom teachers will be sending home information home with specific details regarding their class schedule.   Please let me know if you need an interpreter to understand the information given during the teacher presentations.
