hotshot_helmet_master_doc.pdfWe designed a helmet for wildland firefighters. Due to climate change, wildfires grow by the day and with it, the demand for wildland firefighters. This line of work is very dangerous, namely due to the lack of protection equipment. Our design focuses on bringing safe respiration to wildland firefighters without compromising communication, mobility, or comfort.
We created a proof of concept prototype to demonstrate the possibility of a solar powered airship in the air freight industry. This entailed functioning propeller and a function winch to show off the idea.
