In second grade, we focus on understanding base-ten numbers to the hundreds. Students learn about place value including skip-counting by 5s, 10s and 100s. Students build fluency with addition and subtraction facts and solve problems using multiple steps. Students develop familiarity with shapes fractions. Students count sums of coins and tell time to the minute.
