SEL

An important piece of education at the primary level is SEL (social emotional learning). These are skills such as managing emotions,  gaining confidence, recognizing challenges, being a good friend, and making positive choices. Our morning meetings will intentionally teach and review these skills  and they will be reinforced through daily interactions and conversations.  Our class will also have a lesson with the school counselor once every 6 days to teach social and emotional skills.
