Drawing I and Honors History students learned about Berlin, specifically the construction, history, and eventual fall of the Berlin Wall. Students discussed how the wall separated family, friends, and neighbors for nearly 30 years; and created social injustices between the people of East and West Berlin.
Art students looked at the graffiti that decorated the wall and how the wall became a sounding board for artists. Each student then picked a social injustice and used it as a theme to design a piece of artwork.
Honors History students paired up with art students' social injustices to create infographics exploring the injustices in further depth.
