Last day foir students to drop with a W is Wednesday October 21 (a written request will be required after that).
If a student drops your class, it is their responsibility to login to eCampus and drop the URI section by the above deadline. Otherwise, the course will remain on the URI roster and receive a grade at the end of the term. If you need to drop a student, contact Christine Dolan as soon as possible before 10/15 if possible.
All grades should be posted by one week after the end of "your class." The end of the semester is based on the end date you submit (see your class information on e-campus).
We would like to get students to complete Part I of the process, (non-matric registration) as they register with their counselor for the class starting on October 1 for spring 2026. Once they receive ID numbers, they can complete part 2 (eCampus registration). Then, when you meet them at the start of the semester, all you will need to do is give them their permission numbers that we generate for them and your class number. Then they can complete part III (class enrollment).
Submit course requests in May.
Ask Counselors to have students register when they sign up for a fall course (September) or after October 1 if they sign up for a spring course (January) by going to <https://uri.edu/enrollment> and choosing the non degree application form in the first box.
As soon as it is available, please add your students to the Google Sheet you received from OSI. It's okay if it is going to change. You can make updates on the Google Sheet anytime. If you will not have a roster until the class starts, please let her and me know.
In order to proceed with parts two and three of the process, students will need to establish their second factor authorization using DUO (click HERE). There will be a pause in the action between each part of the process for the systems to update.
Once you see your students' ID numbers on your shared Google sheet, you will need to give them each the class number* and an individual permission numbers that you will receive in order for them to enroll in the class (see "Student: Part III").
_____________________
When there are multiple classes of the same course taught by the same instructor in the same semester, students will enroll into one URI section with the same class number. You can separate the classes using the "groups" feature in Brightspace.
Students will register for classes using a three part process. They are responsible for their own registration
and need to pay close attention to instructions.
PART I - Registering as a non-degree concurrent enrollment student (MUST BE COMPLETED FOR EVERY SEMESTER A STUDENT ENROLLS)
Go to the dual enrollment registration page - https://web.uri.edu/osi/programs/dual-enrollment/apply/ and follow all instructions carefully. Be sure to answer all required questions marked with an asterisk (*) If you get an internet access error, use different browser or clear your cookies in your browser and retry.
Students are enrolling in a concurrent class (taught in HS), not a dual enrollment class (taught on campus).
Students must use their full legal name (no nicknames or preferred names).
Students enrolled in first semester high school classes are registering for FALL university classes.
We are bound to the university's add deadline dates no matter when your HS start date is.
(If a students has already registered at URI for any reason, they should indicate so. They may already be in the system and may already have an ID number and should add it when asked. If they are unsure, they or you can contact me via email and I will check for them.)
Students should receive an email message at some point verifying that they have registered so they should be sure they have used a reliable email address. In that message, they will receive a URI ID number.
Students must have an ID number to continue in the registration process.
PART II - Creating an e-Campus identity (ONLY NEEDS TO BE DONE ONCE)
Students should go to the Student welcome page and proceed to follow the step by step instructions there.
Students will be asked to enter their name and URI ID number.
Students will be given a SSO login/email address. They must remember this login to enroll in the class, see grades, order transcripts and more.
Students will be asked to create a password, give a reliable secondary email address again, and create a security question and answer.
Once students have completed this page, they will can access eCampus (Please note: there is no longer an eCampus login. Once in the SSO system, it is a simple link access).
Students must make sure they remember their login/email and password. I will not have access to them.
Students who already have an ID number can do this part while waiting for their registration to be processed.
PART III - Enrolling in the class
Students should go to eCampus using their SSO login and password.
In the lower center part of the page (a little to the left) students should choose "enroll" from the list.
Students will be asked to enter a class number* and a permission number. You (instructor) will be provided with a class number to give them. You will also be provided with a list of permission numbers. Each students must use a different permission number. Permission numbers can only be used once.
Once completed, student should be able to see the class number, section and title in which they have enrolled and they should appear on your eCampus class list. If they do not, students did not complete the process. Ask them to be sure they have finished all of the steps to the end. Students often miss the final step.
Students cannot self-enroll after the final open enrollment date. If that occurs, we will have to enroll them manually. At this point, that is a last resort and would still have to be done ASAP. Once the university cuts us off, if they are not enrolled, they can not be added.
If a student drops a class at their high school, they must still go to eCampus and drop the class at URI or they will remain on the URI class roster.
WRT104 students are taking a concurrent enrollment class at their high school.
All students (and faculty) now need to activate their URI email address (@uri.edu). WRT104 students will also use Brightspace and library databases research.
All students (and faculty) will have a SSO (Single Sign-on) that will give them access to Brightspace, eCampus, and other resources.
** Students should know that URI will/can not question information they provide for citizenship and discipline history. **
