Every child and every family is different. With respect to that, we have provided a wide range of reading inspiration that reflects many interest, ability, age, and maturity ranges.  

What does 12+ mean?

As this list is intended for students moving up to 6th, 7th, and 8th grades, we have marked some titles 12+. This indicates that most major critical sources believe this book to most appropriate to children and teens 12 and over. We encourage students and parents to work together to determine which books are most appropriate for each individual.

Additionally, most books not marked 12+ should be able to be enjoyed by all students, not just those under 12.
