I grew up in the Northwoods - Prentice to be exact - and currently live in Brantwood. I graduated from UWEC in 1999 and began my teaching career as a long-term substitute teacher in Tomahawk. In 2000 I got my first teaching position in Rib Lake where I taught middle school language arts for seven years. I became a teacher at MASH in 2007. I taught 9th grade English at MASH for sixteen years. This is my 25th year of teaching and my second year teaching 7th grade ELA at MAMS. In 2010 I earned my masters degree in Educational Technology from Marian College. My husband - Jeremy, a 5th grade teacher in Prentice - and I have been married for thirty years, and we have three children - Trent (23), Ty (20), and Piper (15) . Trent is married to a wonderful young lady, McKenna, who is currently working at the EC Mayo Hospital as a register nurse. Trent is a senior at UWEC majoring in Physical Education and currently student teaching at EC North High School. Ty is a junior at UWEC also majoring in Physical Education. Piper is a sophomore at Prentice High School and loves playing volleyball. We live on a beef farm and a Christmas tree farm. We have two cats - Natasha and Ebony - and a Boston Terrier - Dirk Blu, and a French bulldog- Poppy Mae. We have also started to foster dogs from TCHS and Biggie Paws Rescue. I love spending time with my family, traveling, being outdoors, watching my daughter play volleyball, baking with my daughter, reading, listening to podcasts, walking my dogs, binge watching shows on Hulu and Netflix, and volunteering at TCHS.
