Welcome to my class!

My Background:

I was born and raised in Medford, WI.  I attended MAES, MAMS (the old and new school), and MASH.  I graduated MASH as part of the class of 2005.  I was involved in volleyball on the school team as well as Medford Storm in the off-season.  I was also involved in DECA and was manager of the Red Zone (aka The Raider Cafe & Shoppe - minus the Cafe part) during my senior year.

After high school, I went to the University of Wisconsin - Stout for Marketing and Business Education with a minor in Business Administration.  I was highly involved in my college education as a part of MBEA (Marketing and Business Education Association) through UW-Stout.  I held multiple officer positions and ended as President during my Junior/Senior year of college.  I recently attended the University of Wisconsin - Stout and earned my Master's degree in Career and Technical Education and graduated in December of 2021.

My past teaching experiences include two long term substitute positions at Menomonie High School and Altoona High School.  I taught at the Colby School District for five years as the Business Teacher, FBLA Adviser, Yearbook & Newspaper Adviser, and the head volleyball coach.

I am very excited to be back to my old stomping ground.  I have always wanted to become a teacher.  My two inspirations for becoming and educator were my kindergarten and first grade teachers, Mrs. Makovec and Mrs. Leonard.  It wasn't until high school that I decided to become a business and marketing teacher.

Outside of school, I like to spend time with my family and friends.  I was married in December of 2013 and we have three children.  Asher will be nine in November and Vaida turned six in May and Everett is our latest edition and turned three in April!  This summer we added a Lab puppy, Scout (offical name Scout Harley Banana), to our family.
