CLC Vision Statement

The Medford and Stetsonville Community Learning Centers will provide residents of the Medford area with an enriched and diverse learning environment to assist participants in achieving their potential. 




CLC Mission Statement

The Medford and Stetsonville Community Learning Centers will provide supervised before school, after school and community education programs that are enjoyable, creative, diverse, and affordable in a positive and safe environment.



Hours of Operation:

CLC will follow the school calendar. CLC will not be in session when there is no school or when school is closed for bad weather. If after school activities are canceled due to inclement weather CLC will not be in session. If school is started with a delay there will not be CLC. 


MAMS: Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m.-7:30 a.m. and 3:20 p.m.-5:30 p.m. 



**No Charge for MAMS CLC due to funds received from the 21st CCLC grant.



Registration:
Students need to be registered for CLC in Skyward. Contact the CLC Coordinator for registration questions. CLC Coordinator will frequently check registrations in Skyward. 


Sign in/out procedure:

Students must sign in at the POS computer at the time of arrival to CLC and must sign out when leaving CLC for the day. MAMS students are allowed to sign themselves out. MAMS staff will leave the sign out sheet in the MAMS CLC binder for the CLC Coordinator. 


Sign in Procedure:

Any student who arrives to the MAMS building between 6:30a.m. and 7:30a.m. will be required to sign into Before School CLC. Any student who is still at school after 3:45pm. will be required to sign in for After School CLC until their parent/guardian picks them up or they walk home. 


Snacks:

Snacks are provided for the 2023-2024 school year at no charge. 



CLC Transportation Policy

This policy serves to establish a consistent and accessible framework for participation and transportation relating to CLC programs. Parents, guardians, and students are encouraged to communicate any participation or transportation issues with the CLC Coordinator to seek prompt and appropriate resolutions.


Discipline:
Students are expected to obey the rules of conduct and other school regulations. It is their responsibility to behave in a manner which will reflect favorably on their school. All school wide rules will be followed at each CLC site. Please refer to each school’s Discipline plan located in the Student/Parent Handbook. 


Recruitment of Students:

CCLC Coordinator will work with teachers to determine what areas of study their students need help in. Teachers will send emails or come speak directly with CLC staff about student needs. The CCLC Coordinator will update the MAMS Homework Notes sheet in the MAMS CLC binder as needed. CCLC Coordinator will review updated POD notes from each grade as well as check any lists put together by staff for missing homework. (Ex: 6th grade “The List”.) Letters will be mailed to families,who have students with  a GPA of 2.5 or lower, inviting their child to attend CLC to help increase their GPA. These letters will be mailed after the first, second, and third quarter each year. Parents may also sign up their child for academic support. Teachers may make recommendations to the CCLC Coordinator and a letter will be sent home with the student. 



Program Communication:

MAMS CLC will keep an updated calendar on the MAMS CLC webpage. Courses, events, and other CLC information will be posted on the MAMS Facebook page as well as the MAMS CLC website. Survey results will be updated to the website each summer.  Emails will be sent to families notifying them of different activities their child can sign up for, family events and other news related to CLC.
