Meet Mr. Nowak
My name is Caleb Nowak, and this is my second full year teaching at MAMS. I was a substitute teacher in the district in 2020-21, and taught 7th grade ELA and Social Studies last year. I am originally from Athens, Wisconsin and received my teaching degree from the University of Northwestern - St. Paul (MN). I believe that there are many practical lessons that we all can learn through studying our nation's past and reading about and reflecting on the stories of others. I am excited to be starting on or continuing this journey with you.
Outside of teaching, I love to travel and see the different landscapes and historical places that we have in the U.S. My most recent trip included seeing Boston, Massachusetts. I also enjoy sports - playing, watching, and coaching. Football is my favorite to watch (Go Pack Go!). I also plan on coaching track and field again this spring. Lastly, I am a big Star Wars and Marvel fan.
Please use this website as a reference and resource as we move ahead in the year. Do note however that our Social Studies 8 website is currently under construction and may not necessarily be up to date especially early on in the year. Thank you for your patience!
