An extensive collection of ebooks and audio books are now available to all Medford Public School students.

You can access in the following ways:

• Sora Website: https://soraapp.com/library/masslibma, select Medford Public Schools from the drop down list, and select the sign in using Google button. Note that students must be signed in (or must sign in) to their school google accounts to use.

• Via Clever - find the Sora App under "More Apps (District)"

• Via Sora Mobile App available on Google, Apple, and Android play stores

As an added bonus, you can now add MPL and the Minuteman Library Collection to the Sora Overdrive collection. This way, you can search for ebooks and audio books in Medford Public School's Sora collection and the public library's Libby collection.

By using your library card number, all Medford residents have access to:

• ebooks and audiobooks through Hoopla and Overdrive services

• music streaming through Hoopla and Naxos

• streaming film and tv through Kanopy and RB Digital (which includes AcornTV and the Great Courses series).

To access these online services through Medford Public Library, you will need a library card and pin number. Please call Medford Library for assistance with a library card, pin number or these services at 781-395-7950.

Boston Public Library eCards allow you to access the following resources:

• books and audiobooks through Hoopla and Overdrive services

• music streaming through Hoopla

• streaming film and tv through Kanopy and Hoopla

• audiobooks and magazines through RB Digital

To access these online services, you can sign up online for a Boston Public Library eCard (for those 13 and over; if you are under 13, please ask a parent or guardian).

Amazon Audible has free access to a collection of books for children of all ages. You'll find classics, fairy tales, and picture books. And books in different languages. As with many of these free offerings, the selection is limited.
