Most of the land are plateaus

lots of mountains

The highest peak is a volcano called Citlaltepetl (18,701)

Low plains near the coast

Major river the Rio Bravo del Norte (called the Rio Grande in the U.S) forms part of the border between Mexico and the U.S

The dry regions have Cacti and Yuccas

The south and the east have Rainforests and Grasslands

Some of the mountains have evergreen forests

The southern coasts have Mangrove and swamps

Deer, Pumas, Coyotes, Rabbits, snakes, and Armadillos live in the dry north
