The first month in speech therapy we are reviewing IEP goals and making sure that the students have personal goals in speech therapy as well. For speech sounds, in upper elementary we really start to focus on independence and monitoring for correct production of target sounds. For language we will be following the ELA standards and doing some extra vocabulary work. We now have Vocab Corner in the speech room. Here we will review grade level vocabulary at the end of each speech session for extra practice.
