MATH GAMES and activities

Let's Play SKUNK!

Mrs. Pritchard and her class teach you about a super fun game called Skunk! In this game, you will sharpen your addition skills and take chances.

Supplies: a piece of paper, a pencil, and one or two dice.

BUMP DICE GAMES

The first grade team shows you how to play a fun game of Bump! Roll the dice, add them up, and try to get two of your markers on the number first. Try not to get bumped! The first one to place all ten markers wins.

Supplies: Bump Game Board (you have a couple different versions), dice, markers

YAHTZEE

The kindergarten team shows you how to play our special version of Yahtzee! Roll the dice, and mark your number on your game board. The person to fill the game board first is the winner.

Supplies: Two dice, Yahtzee game board

YES! Challenge yourself by solving the problems provided by Mrs. Rossi OR creating your own using the Dewey Decimal System.

DICE BASKETBALL

Listen to Mrs. Amend, a Mountainside Middle School Math Teacher and former Midway teacher, share how to play Dice Basketball. It's a fun game of scoring with a die instead of a basketball!

Supplies: a bracket, a die, scratch paper, and a pencil

KING/QUEEN OF THE COURT

Mrs. Amend teaches you how to play this tricky game that has you rolling dice or drawing cards to determine the rows and columns of an array. Try to fill the court with your color!

Supplies: Grid paper, two markers, dice or Ace through 10 cards.
