Introduction to Working with Students Receiving Special Education Services (District required course for all MDUSD Assistants. If you have not yet taken this class, please register now.)
This two-part course is designed for special education assistants. Course includes instruction and training on the most essential aspects of Special Education law, IEP team roles and responsibilities, research-based effective practices, disability and diversity awareness, instructional strategies and accommodations and modifications, general health care procedures, behavior management, and IEPteam communication skills. Although designed for special education assistants, course is open to anyone interested.
*You must participate throughout the class and complete a course evaluation to receive a certificate of completion and be paid for your time.
