I was born and raised in Pittsburg, CA, and I graduated from Concord High in 1998. After I graduated, I spent one year attending Cal State San Marcos before transferring to the East Coast to finish up my Bachelor's degree in English. After I received my Bachelor's degree, I spent two years teaching Reading in Virginia before I moved to North Carolina and started my Master's degree program in Library Science. While I was working on my Master's degree, I worked as a Library Assistant at a local high school and after graduating, I took over one of the Librarian positions at that high school. I spent the next four years working there, and one of those years I taught Sophomore English and Video Production. In 2010, I moved back to California and took a teaching position with a local private high school. Then, in 2011, I took a job with MDUSD, and I have spent the last nine years working at various elementary and middle school libraries. When I'm not working, I'm hanging out with my dog Sophie, friends, training for a race, hiking or crafting. This year, I'm hoping to work on my Spanish and teach myself to play the guitar.
