INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO FIND A BOOK in the Online Library Catalog! Click here.

Find some Fun Fiction chapter books on the shelves! Your favorite fiction novels are in alphabetical order by the Author's last name. The call number or address of the book is on the book's spine. Fiction call numbers have two parts: FIC indicating the book is in the Fiction section, and under that the first three letters of the author's last name, for example FIC Row.

Find some Fun Picture Books on the shelves! Your favorite picture books are in alphabetical order by the Author's last name. Picture Book call numbers have two parts: E indicating the book is in the Everybody Reader section, and under that the first three letters of the author's last name. Some older books will only have the first letter of the author's last name, for example E Seu or E S.

Find the Facts and Information you need on the shelves! Look in the Nonfiction section. Nonfiction call number have two parts: The Dewey Decimal Number indicating what section the book is in, and under that the first three letters of the author's last name, for example 641.5 Bee.

Find the Facts and Information you need about a famous person on the shelves! Look in the Biography section. Biographies are in alphabetical order based on the person the books is about, and not based on the author's last name. Biography call numbers have two parts: B indicating the book is in the Biography section, and under that the full last name the book is about, for example B Lincoln.
