California Young Reader Medal Books

Every year certain popular books are nominated for the California Young Reader Medal committee.

TK through fifth grade students at Ayers Elementary hear the California Young Reader Medal Nominees each year and then vote for their favorite selections from the picture books at the end of March. In May, the State winners are announced.

Here are the nominees for the 2020-2021 school year for both Primary Picture books and Picture Books for Older Readers.
