Tips for Success

 1. DO attend all lessons.

 2. DO practice for improvement at home.

 3. DO keep your instrument safe; know where it is at all times.

 4. DO take your instrument and music to and from school.

 5. DO keep up with your regular classwork.

 6. DO ask for help if you are struggling.

 7. DO try your best.

 8. DO NOT share this valuable instrument with your friends.

 9. DO NOT try to repair your instrument.  Ask your teacher. 

10. DO NOT give up!  It isn’t easy but it is worth it.

11. DO play for friends and family.

Understand that:

• learning an instrument is not easy and requires effort.

• you will miss some instruction in the regular classroom.

• you may be released from the program if you are not making progress or if you fail to uphold classroom norms and rules.
