Spring 2022
My hope for Freshman English is to provide students with the foundational skills necessary to thrive in their high school careers and beyond. Students should be prepared to write daily in class and to read most nights for homework. Please click here for the link to the welcome letter, and here for the Freshman page. All students will be invited to a Google classroom page via their email address.
My goal for this class is to provide the skills necessary to thrive post-high school in an ever changing environment. Students should be prepared to discuss and write about challenging topics in a thorough and respectful manner. All students will be invited to a Google classroom site via their email.
My goal for this class is to engage students in thoughtful literacy practices that both challenge and support. Students should come to class prepared to write daily and participate in discussions. My hope is to provide as much student choice as possible. Click here to access the Modern Fiction page.
About me
I have been teaching for ten years, including at the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota and for the Department of Corrections in Vermont. I graduated from Middlebury College with my MA and from the University of Wyoming with my BA. I grew up in Northeast Harbor and recently moved back to the area with my two children, my dog, and three cats.
