Manie Musicale ...Qu'est-ce que c'est? What is it?
Manie Musicale is a musical "March Madness" style competition where students vote on their favorite French songs from a field of sixteen current french-speaking artists from around the world. Schools from across the US, Canada and other countries vote for their favourites. We see who wins at the end of March.
The new playlists come out in February.

Lubiana put out a message to us on social media when she heard that her song "La Blanche" had been chosen for Manie Musicale. It is mostly in French but she speaks a bit in English.

Françoise Hardy
This year's tribute artist is Françoise Hardy. She had a very long career as a singer in France. She died last June 2024. Click on the photo to listen to one of her most famous songs Comment te dire Adieu. (with English subtitles)
