I do NOT expect that all of you have your notes. It would be amazing if most of you did, but we will operate on the idea that a large percentage of you did not bring them home on 13 Friday, because I for one did not tell you that you ought to. If you did, congratulations on being brilliant.
Grab a deck of cards and flip them over one at a time. Say the number (siete, dos, diez...) If you flip over a jack, say 'once,' a queen say 'doce,' and a king say 'trece.' It is your call if you want to call the ace 'uno' o 'catorce.'
That was easy, and you are ready to graduate to a level with a bit more complexity? Great! Multiply each card by 10 as you flip it. When that gets easy, multiply by 100.
Piece of cake? Great, now flip two cards together and add them. Say the number in Spanish. To make the numbers bigger feel free to multiply them. If you were actually playing cards, the jack is called 'jota,' the queen is 'la reina,' the king 'el rey,' and the ace is called 'el as.'
LA ANATOMÍA~
~ Find a picture of an animal, or describe your pet. You can always describe the little bodyless monster I have in the top right of this page. Ej, el hipopótamo es grande y tiene cuatro piernas. O, mi perro es pequeño y se llama Rocky. Tiene dientes y dos ojos marrones. Remember to put adjectives behind the word they describe, and remember that you can use "no tiene" to describe something.
Hmm, some people do not own decks of cards.
Here you go!
