Welcome!
My name is Chip Taylor and I'm the Technology and Business Teacher here at Mt. Desert Island High School. I teach a variety of classes including Business of Speed, MakerSpace Metal, Business Independent Study (which includes several individual courses), and Life After MDI to name a few.
I grew up in Surry and still live there today with my wife Missy and our cat, Baxter. I've been at the school since 2000 and have been involved with extracurricular activities such as coaching both boys and girls basketball. Prior to starting at MDIHS, I also taught and coached at Ellsworth High School and Lawrence High School in Fairfield.
In my free time I enjoy traveling around the country and drag racing at various events. During the racing season we will normally travel all over the east coast of the United States, but my home track is New England Dragway in Epping, New Hampshire.
