Hello CES Community!
So excited for another great year with Ms. Hanson and Mrs. Shea in the Reading Room, where we support students' reading growth in grades K-4.
Before I worked at CES, I worked at Mount Desert Elementary School, where I spent 28 years as a Resource Room teacher. It has been very exciting to take my skills and knowledge and use them in new ways at CES.
I also like working with staff and students on developing executive functioning skills, a personal area of interest.
Here's to an amazing year of reading!

(I pronounce my name like this: "bowl-yer". We sadly lost the pretty, French pronunciation somewhere on our journey from Canada to Maine a few generations ago! However, if you have a lovely, French accent, feel free to use it!)
Reading Room
The Reading Room supports students' reading progress by focusing on foundational skills, like phonological awareness and phonics for decoding and spelling, as well as building solid language and comprehension skills.
