Voter suppression takes many forms — restrictive rules, misinformation, intimidation, and barriers that make it harder for eligible voters to cast a ballot. Protecting the vote means pushing back at every level: advocating with elected officials, helping voters get to the polls, supporting reform efforts that close the gaps, and showing up where vigilance is needed.
The actions below are how Maryland chapters can protect access to the vote in 2026.
Call electeds to advocate against voter suppression
Join Indivisible Maryland Coalition’s campaign finance reform efforts
Be a poll observer (outside polling location) - coming soon
Take ballots to a drop box - coming soon
If your chapter has materials or resources for voting protection, we'd love to add them to the portal. Email us at elections@mdindivisibles.org .
