RUTGERS:
Once we take the exams next week and your teachers enter your final grades into Genesis, I will be able to generate a transcript file that gets sent to Rutgers who will then generate a Rutgers University transcript to be sent to the institution you have decided to attend. In order to get it to them, you must request it through RUTGERS with a $7 fee. You must mail the attached form to the NEWARK address listed but you CANNOT request it until next Fall for this year's courses. You are the first graduating class that can actually request it now for your Dynamics, MedTerm, and Clinical Research classes. They used to not accept your transcript data until senior year but last year they allowed us to send your sophomore and Junior year courses so those are available now. If your school is trying to schedule you for a class you will receive credit for, point out to them that it's a Dual Credit Course on your MCVTS Transcript and that you will be getting the Rutgers transcript for them to award the credits to you in the Fall. Remember that your Rutgers grade is calculated by 50% Rutgers exam and 50% Academy Final Grade. Dynamics is 100% the final exam. The courses are the following college-level codes:
IDST-1000
Medical Terminology
IDST-2250
Dynamics of Health Care in Society
IDST-1221
Anatomy & Physiology I
IDST-1222
Anatomy & Physiology II
DENA-1220
Scientific Principles of Nutrition
DENH-1221
Nutrition and the Lifespan
IDST-1240
Introduction to Clinical Research
PLTW with Stevenson:
In all my years at Woodbridge, no one has ever bothered with the PLTW credits as they are expensive and it's only for two courses - Biology and Anatomy & Physiology I. You get A&P through Rutgers and most of you already took the AP Bio exam or your school doesn't allow you to transfer credit for Biology. It's $200 for each course! Way more than you paid for the Rutgers classes or AP exam but still less than as a college student. In order to obtain the Biology credit if you haven't taken the AP and would like to do so, it must be done before August 1st of your graduation year. Go to this website and follow all the steps. https://www.stevenson.edu/academics/schools/school-sciences/stem-initiatives/project-lead-the-way/
