UPDATES TO GRADING AND QUIZ POLICIES
Effective January 31, 2022
QUIZZES: Students who do not owe any assignments in the current marking period are eligible to retake quizzes. If you are unsure if you owe assignments, you should check your "Missing Assignments" section in Google Classroom and/or your SchoolTool account.
HOMEWORK GRADING: Classwork and homework in class is graded on a 5 point scale. The scale is based on effort, completion, and timeliness. Assignments turned in 1-3 days late can earn 4/5 points, 4-10 days late can earn 3/5 points, and more than 10 days late can earn 2/5 points.
Meet Ms. Mitchell
Ms. Mitchell was born and raised in Ogdensburg, NY. She graduated from OFA in 2003 and then moved around the east coast attending Florida International University in Miami and Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. She graduated from SUNY Potsdam in 2011 and began working for Lisbon Central School in 2013 as a high school teacher. Ms. Mitchell is very exciting to be starting her new journey as a Green Rocket in the fall of 2021!
Ms. Mitchell has two children, Kaeleigh and Ayden, who will also be attending MCS this year. She, her children, her fiance, Eric, and their three dogs now live in Morristown.
