Central Elementary School is located in the mountains of beautiful East Tennessee. The town's name is Wartburg, which is in Morgan County. Wartburg is approximately 50 miles west of Knoxville, TN.

The school houses PreK through the 5th grade with a total enrollment of approximately 600 students.

We are proud to create an environment which promotes academic growth and social achievement. We take pride in producing a risk-free learning environment where every child can feel safe when at school. The community and family members are always welcome to become involved in the education of our students.

At Central Elementary, we are working on "Building the Foundation" for the next generation!

We, the staff of CES, work as a team with parents and the community to identify and meet the needs of our students. Our mission requires that we provide developmentally sound methods of instruction in order to educate the whole child, in accordance with state objectives and curriculum.
