My name is Chris Thompson and I have the privilege of teaching math, robotics and engineering here at Centennial Middle School. Navigate through the menu at the top to get information about schedules, classes and assignments.
This is my 13th year teaching at Centennial, and I am blessed to be able to spread my love of math and STEM to my students. I am originally from a small town in Kansas, which makes me a huge Chiefs fan! I have a bachelor's degree from Kansas State University and have lived in Montrose since 2004. I have a son in his first year at CMU, another son who is a junior at MHS, and a 5th grade daughter at JES. In my spare time I like to fly fish, hike, play disc golf, and whip up one of my amazing dishes in the kitchen.
I firmly believe that everyone can be good at math. While some students are able to pick it up sooner than others, everyone who truly puts forth the effort will be successful in my class. My mission is to make math fun and engaging for all types of learners, building the grit and confidence to tackle any problem that comes their way. Math instruction will look very different this year due to our circumstances, but I look forward to your student helping me choose the best resources to ensure their success.
