Google Classroom and how to use it for parents and students

1. When opening Google Classroom students will be taken to the stream page. This page will be used sparingly and only for announcements or information the students may need about general happenings.

2. The tab labeled classwork is where all resources for assignments, assignments, rubrics for grading, and links for resources will be located.

3. Assignments that are going to be entered for a grade will always be set apart and noted during each unit/weeks information and will be titled assessments. When turning work in parents and students should be aware of a couple of things.

   1. When creating a document students should use the add or create feature in classroom.

   2. When the assignment is turned in it should be marked as turned in on the assignment page and should also say resubmit because a document was turned in. Until the assignment is graded students will not have access to the document so they should make a copy if parents want to see completed work.
