page 25- What does Don Quixote mean when he says, "I'll prove it to you with the strength of my arms"?
What is strange or ironic about Sancho saying he has been a peaceful man all his life and intends to remain one?
Ironic means that the direct opposite of what one expects to happen actually occurs.
Who is the Knight of the Wood and who is his squire?
page 26- Does Don Quixote believe the Knight of the Wood is really Samson? How does he explain why the knight looks like Samson?
page 28- What does Don Quixote tell the lion keeper to do and why?
page 30- Why is everyone else dumbfounded at first?

Why does Samson disguise himself as the Knight of the Wood and purposely lie and say that he has defeated Don Quixote?

An example persuasive essay can be found on page 47 in your student book. You will answer the following questions about this example essay.
You first need a lead or hook.
The first sentence of an essay that grabs the reader's attention and gives the reader an idea of what the essay will be about.
What type of hook is used in the example essay? Quote the example's hook.
After the hook:
Talk about the type of text you are referencing (short story, fable, fantasy)
What type of text is the example referencing?
Reference the author of the text you are discussing
Who is the author of the text that the example discusses?
Relevant details: main characters, setting, basic plot summary
Which of these details does the example provide? How many sentences in the introduction describe these details?
These sentences give the reader of your essay an idea of what they are going to see in your essay. You are going to reference Don Quixote, the author of our text, and give a brief (short) summary to your audience.
What is the last sentence in the example paragraph called?
Re-read the example introduction paragraph before moving on.
