Studio DMT is comprised of Digital Media Technology students from the Eddie Dixon Career Technical Education Center's Digital Media Technology Program.
Studio DMT provides students with hands-on work experience in multimedia. Students continue to develop their skills in graphic design, photography, and videography, outside the DMT classroom by working one on one with clients and completing off campus media assignments.
Studio DMT's goal is to help highlight and support the amazing things happening in Marshall County through our schools and community members.
The Eddie Dixon CTE Center is apart of the Marshall County School district and services students from Byhalia High School, H.W. Byers High School, and Potts Camp High School. The Eddie Dixon CTE Center has six programs students may select: Advanced Manufacturing, Agriculture and Natural Resources, Digital Media Technology, Educator Preparation, Health Science, and Law and Public Safety. All six programs are two year programs that focus on developing skills and knowledge of that field through hands on experience.
Digital and Media Technology exposes students to the diverse world of digital media. Students learn a variety of mediums including graphic design, photography, videography, photo and video editing, 3D Design, audio recording, and podcasting. At the Eddie Dixon CTE Center, we explore these platforms through a marketing lens. Students learn how to use their digital media skills to work with clients and to promote objects, businesses, and even their own work. DMT students manage all Eddie Dixon CTE Social Media and our Webpage. Be sure to follow us on social media to see the wonderful things all our programs are doing, but also the work DMT students do.
