School Bus Crossing Procedure

• After exiting the bus, walk at least TEN giant steps from the side of the bus.
• Walk along the side of the road, taking TEN giant steps ahead of the bus.
• Look at the driver for a signal to cross. (Thumbs Up)
• Stop at the center of the road and look to the left and to the right for oncoming cars.
• Keep watching for traffic as you continue across the road.
• NEVER go back to the bus for dropped or forgotten items.
• NEVER go under the bus to get a dropped item, get the bus driver to help you.
