"Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior among school-aged children that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time. Both kids who are bullied and who bully others may have serious, lasting problems." - from stopbullying.gov

For this reason, Denton Magnet School is committed to preventing and responding to incidences of bullying among the student body. Students are encouraged to report incidences of bullying to a trusted adult immediately. If parents become aware of student bullying, the incident should be reported immediately to the counselor, Mr. Watts, or an administrator, Mr. Gill or Mr. Pettaway, via phone or email.

Parents may learn more about bullying and related topics at the following websites.

School-wide, comprehensive progress reports are sent home each quarter. Additionally, parents are encouraged to monitor students' grades via the INOW Home Portal using the parent's username and password. Usernames and passwords were distributed for students to take home in September. If you need another copy of the parent username or password, you may contact the front office.
