The Watkins Mill High School ELD Department is dedicated to empowering multilingual learners as they develop English language proficiency and achieve academic success. We believe that every student’s linguistic and cultural background is an asset that enriches our school community.

Through grade-level content courses and specialized ELD seminars, we provide targeted support to help students strengthen their English skills while mastering academic concepts. Additionally, our department offers a unique program for students with limited or interrupted formal education, designed to accelerate learning and provide the tools needed to stay on track toward high school graduation.

Our goal is to ensure that every multilingual learner has the support, resources, and opportunities to thrive in school and beyond.
