Listed below are some of the reasons a student's absence may be excused. Documentation will be requested by Ms. Alberti. If possible, have the student notify their teachers as soon as possible and complete as much classwork as possible. If the student will miss more than two weeks of school, contact the student's counselor.

• Death in the immediate family

• Illness of the student

• Medical appointments

• Authorized work activities

• Religious holidays

• State emergency

• Lack of authorized (MCPS) transportation
