The sound crew is responsible for playing the music needed during the show. 

The sound crew also develops the mic plan for the show. They determine which actors need mics, which mics they get, and who they trade the mics off to during the performance. 

The sound crew works to turn wireless mics on and off throughout the performance as well as learning the software needed to control the mics.
