Welcome to the inaugural Tournament of Picture Books! Get ready to discover some amazing stories and vote for your favorites. Here's everything you need to know about how the tournament will work.

The Competition

Just like the college basketball tournament, our book tournament will feature a bracket with books competing against each other. Each time your class is assigned a pair of books, you'll read them both and then vote for the one you think should move on to the next round. The book with the most votes will advance!

The Schedule

Every month, your class will be assigned two new picture books to read. The tournament will run from October through March. This schedule gives your class plenty of time to read and discuss the books before casting your votes.

Voting

We will provide a ballot for each student to use. After your class has read and discussed both books, each student should cast a vote for their favorite. This is an important decision, so be sure to choose wisely!
