Spanish 1B - Country Project
In order to extend your learning of the culture in the Spanish-speaking world, you will research and present information on a particular Spanish-Speaking country to your teacher and classmates. As you have already begun to learn, the Spanish-speaking world is large and diverse, and this is an opportunity to learn more about specific countries. On the day the projects are due, everyone will take part in a gallery walk to appreciate and learn from each other’s’ projects. The project will be done in English and can be presented in the form of a ?
Each topic should be written about in paragraph form. Please remember to paraphrase; write the information in your own words. Your project must include information on the topics below:
Basic Country Information: Location (continent/region, bordering countries and/or bodies of water), Capital, Population, Language(s) Spoken, Currency, Primary Religions, Name of President and/or Prime Minister
Typical Foods: Give examples of what they might eat for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner.
Identify and describe three famous tourist attractions.
Describe the country’s climate and seasons (some countries may only have two seasons).
Identify and describe two important holidays.
Identify and describe two recreational activities.
Create a comparison graph (through CultureGrams) for three countries (your country, the U.S. and another Spanish-speaking country) in two categories ( i.e. adult literacy rate for males & adult literacy rate for females). Write a few sentences analyzing the data.
