Description- During this course the following units are explored: Introduction to Law and the Legal System, Civil Law, Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Family Law, Criminology, The Criminal Mind, Crime Prevention, Gangs, Police Investigations, Law Related Careers, and Consumer Law.
Prerequisite- Successful completion of Introduction to Justice, Law, and Society A and B
Credit- ½ credit per semester
Description- During this course major topics include: The History of Law in the United States, Federalism, and the Bill of Rights. During the Bill of Rights unit each of our basic rights is examined including freedom of religion, freedom of speech, rights of the accused, etc.
