What is the COVID-19 Rental Assistance Program?
Recognizing that the COVID-19 pandemic is causing an unprecedented financial hardship for many Montgomery County residents, the COVID-19 Rental Assistance Program provides financial assistance in the form of a rent subsidy payment. This program seeks to fill the gaps for those who have lost income during COVID-19.
Application submissions OPEN August 18, 2020 at 10:00 am and CLOSE August 31, 2020 at 2:00 pm.

The COVID-19 Rent Relief Program is administered by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), and provides short-term rental assistance to eligible households who have lost income due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Visit the program website (English /Español) for information on who is eligible and how to apply.
Immigration status is not required.
Those who have informal leases CAN qualify.
Those who have applied for the Housing Opportunities Commission (HOC) Rental Assistance program may also apply for this DHHS Rent Relief program.
Applicants can apply online on their own, or submit a Service Request with 311 to request assistance in submitting an application.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, as long as funding is available. There is currently no set deadline to apply.
