Drama Club Goals
To rehearse and perform theater productions to the best of our ability while teaching basic theater skills, terms, and character development in a fun and enjoyable show for all.
To provide opportunities for students to participate in theater in various aspects including ensemble roles, crew, and lead roles so each student learns essential skills, techniques, and terms associated with a successful live theater production.
To develop students’ self-esteem and stage presence, which will benefit them in the classroom and as adults when giving speeches and presentations, by encouraging all participants to engage in leadership, a positive work ethic, motivation, self-reliance, and confidence.
To help students understand the importance of teamwork and that every person in the production plays their own role (pun intended!) to make it work on every level (production, acting, backstage, strike).
To introduce students to different types of acting style, choreography, music, and poetry in an environment where they can feel supported and successful.
