8th Grade Promotion - TBD
We want to extend our sincerest apologies to our students, families, and loved ones for the postponement of the 8th grade promotion ceremony. We understand how meaningful this milestone is and recognize that this change has caused disappointment and inconvenience—especially for family members who had made special arrangements to attend.
Please know that this decision was not made lightly, and we truly regret the impact it has had on our community.
The rescheduled promotion ceremony will now take place on Wednesday, June 17. Doors will open at 5:45 PM, and the ceremony will begin promptly at 6:00 PM, as originally planned.
For families and loved ones who are now unable to attend in person, we are committed to helping you still share in this important occasion. The ceremony will be live streamed, and a recording will also be posted on the WHS YouTube channel so it can be viewed and revisited afterward. (https://www.youtube.com/@WoottonPatriotTV/featured)
We deeply appreciate your understanding, flexibility, and continued support. Our goal remains to honor our students in a way that is joyful, memorable, and worthy of this important achievement, and we will do everything we can to make that happen.
8th Grade Promotion will take place at Wootton High School 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm. Doors do not open until 5:45 pm. Due to the size of the auditorium, tickets will be issued and limited to two per each 8th grade family. The students themselves do not require a ticket for admission. Tickets will be sent home with each student prior to the event. Unused tickets should be returned to the main office and will be available through a random drawing. Information for participating in the random drawing for extra tickets is forthcoming.
Families requesting additional tickets must complete the Google form (link) by 3:00 p.m. Thursday, June 4th. Any returned tickets will be entered into a random drawing for persons requesting additional tickets. The drawing will be conducted on the evening of Thursday, June 4th. You will be notified via email if you are chosen to receive additional tickets by 5:00 pm on Friday, June 5th.
